Evan Lin, chair of the Notre Dame Academy Board of Education said in the email that Shaw resigned for “personal reasons.”

“The Notre Dame Academy Board of Education is in the process of selecting an interim president,” Lin wrote. “Until one is appointed Principal Patrick Browne has assumed duties of the position and will be strongly supported by our staff and board.”

Lin went on to write that Notre Dame Academy will undergo a national search for a successor, and the search will begin immediately.

“We’ll proceed with all deliberate speed, but we will not put a deadline in place,” Lin wrote.

Shaw served as president since June 2015.  Browne has been principal since January 2018.
