The WIAA released the boys’ basketball brackets Feb. 17 for the postseason.

Green Bay Southwest, the No. 3-ranked Division 2 team in the state, received a No. 1 seed and will host the winner of No. 8 Menasha/No. 9 Ashwaubenon March 1.

Ashwaubenon – whose game with Menasha is Feb. 26 – shocked Southwest, 73-67, earlier in the season to give the Trojans their only loss thus far.

In other area Division 2 games, No. 4 West De Pere will host No. 5 Marinette March 1, with the winner potentially playing at Southwest or hosting Ashwaubenon in the regional finals March 2.

No. 6 Pulaski will host No. 11 Green Bay Notre Dame Feb. 26, with the winner of that game traveling to No. 3 Seymour March 1.

No. 10 Green Bay West will travel to No. 7 Luxemburg-Casco Feb. 26.

In Division 1, No. 7 Bay Port will host No. 10 De Pere March 1. The Pirates posted two regular-season wins over the Redbirds in Fox River Classic Conference action, with the first game going into overtime.

Whichever team wins that game, will most likely have to travel to No. 2 Brookfield Central March 2 for the regional title.

Brookfield Central is currently the No. 4 ranked Division 1 team in the state.

In other area Division 1 games, No. 9 Green Bay Preble travels to No. 8 Watertown, and No. 12 Green Bay East travels to No. 5 Homestead in March 1 games.
