Ashwaubenon school board approves co-curricular, staffing hires

ASHWAUBENON – Thirty-four co-curricular positions, many of which are spring sports coaches, were approved Wednesday, Jan. 9, by the Ashwaubenon school board.

The varsity head coaches and the respective compensation will include: Caleb Kromm, $5,700 for boys’ and girls’ track; Jay Krueger, $3,500 for baseball; Rick Kremer, $3,350 for girls’ soccer; Shannon Van Laanen, $2,750 for softball; and Murray Gleffe, $2,400 for boys’ tennis.

For boys’ golf, Craig Hoiska will receive $1,675 with Jason Hill receiving $1,400 in a granted position.
The board also approved two aides and a cross categorical position.

Danielle DeWaal and Mary Ann Jones were both hired as full-time special education aides at the high school, effective Dec. 17 and Jan. 2, respectively.

Claire Steffen’s full-time hiring to a limited-term cross categorical position at Parkview Middle School takes effect Jan. 21.

DeWaal, Jones and Steffen are all being hired due to resignations.
