Tell me about your family.

“I have an older sister named Logan who is turning 24, my younger brother Camden is 14 and my younger sister Rhyan is 13. My dad grew up in Ishpeming, Michigan, and moved here in high school. My mom has always been from here.”

Do you come from a sports family?

“Logan played basketball, Camden golfs and Rhyan plays basketball. My dad played baseball and my mom did softball.”

How about a high school sport you wish you would have done or at least tried?

“Maybe volleyball just because I’m tall and it seems like a fun sport.”

For the record, how tall are you?

“I am 5-foot-11. I was always pretty short until I hit my freshman year – then I grew.”

What is your earliest basketball memory?

“In the third grade when I got to play up with the fourth graders. I met my best friend, Grace Van Egeren, that way.”

The team was ranked No. 4 in the Division 1 preseason state polls – it could be a great year!

“We were a young team last year and made it to the sectional finals before losing. We were picked seventh in the conference and proved everyone wrong. This year, our goal is to win a conference title and make it to state.”

In your basketball intro video earlier this season, you said you like Polly Pockets – explain.

“That was just a joke (laughing). Maybe when I was little I did but not anymore.”

What would be your most memorable sports moment?

“Making it to sectionals was a big highlight last season.”

What about a most embarrassing one?

“How red my face gets during a game – everyone notices it. I know when I was younger I tripped and fell a few times running up the court, too.”

What would be your ultimate dream in basketball for your senior season?

“To make it to state and win it all during my last year. It would be fun to make the winning shot, too.”

What has been your favorite family vacation?

“Every year my family and I go to Florida. We stay at a resort – that’s always fun.”

What’s on your music playlist?

“Rap and hip-hop.”
