SUAMICO – If you’re the best football team in the Fox River Classic Conference, it makes sense you would have the most all-conference players. Such was the case for Bay Port.

The Pirates placed 16 members of the team on the list, including seven which were named players of the year at their respective positions.

Pulaski’s Dylan Hendricks was named the 2018 offensive player of the year in the conference, while Bay Port junior defensive lineman Max Meeuwsen garnered the top defensive player.

Bay Port players Isaiah Gash (co-offensive back of the year), Braden Doyle (co-offensive lineman of the year), Cody Lindquist (co-receiver of the year), Call Verlanic (linebacker of the year), Logan Geissler (defensive back of the year) and Gary Westerman (coach of the year) also took home the top spots.

Other Pirates on the first-team list were Jacob Nugent (offensive line), Austin Heim (kicker), Jose Ramirez (defensive line), Mars McGriff (linebacker) and Dylan Grosskreutz (defensive back).

Second-team honors went to Jake Plummer (quarterback), while honorable-mention selections were Daniel Forystek (offensive line), Cole Weber (tight end) and Jayden Montgomery (inside linebacker).

Ashwaubenon players Riley Siudzinski (returner), Cam Wheeler (inside linebacker) and Ashton Steinike (punter) took home first-team honors, while De Pere’s Jacob Coisman (offensive line), Kyjuan Vengrowsky (outside linebacker) and Sam Hafner (inside linebacker) did the same.

Ashwaubenon’s Kenneth Brooks (offensive line) and Sam Nooyen (Receiver) were named second team, while De Pere’s Connor VandenHeuvel (defensive back) was also named to the second team.

Wheeler (tight end) and Redbirds Seth Mitchell (offensive line) and Elijah Wright (defensive end) rounded out the selections with honorable-mention status.
