It’s football playoff time and the Green Bay area will be well represented in the WIAA playoffs.

Bay Port (9-0), hot off its third consecutive undefeated regular season, is the No. 1 seed in its respective bracket and will host No. 8 De Pere (4-5) Oct. 19 in a Level 1 game.

The Pirates had an easy time with the Redbirds in a 49-0 win Oct. 5.

If things play out as they should, Bay Port is on a collision course with No. 2 Kimberly (8-1) in a Level 3 contest.

Kimberly’s only loss on the season came against No. 1-ranked Fond du Lac in the opening game of the year (31-28 ) on a last-second field goal. Before that loss, the Papermakers had won 70 straight and have won five consecutive state titles, with the last four being in Division 1.

In other area Level 1 games, Fox River Classic Conference rival Green Bay Preble (6-3) is the No. 6 seed in the Pirates’ bracket and will travel to No. 3 Neenah (7-2).

In Division 2, No. 8 Ashwaubenon (5-4) will travel to No. 1 Marshfield (9-0).

In another Division 2 game, Pulaski (8-1), a No. 3 seed, will host No. 6 Menomonie (7-2).

No. 1 West De Pere (9-0) will entertain No. 8 Antigo (4-5) in a Division 3 matchup, while No. 7 Green Bay Notre Dame (7-2) will host No. 7 Fox Valley Lutheran (5-4).

The Phantoms and Tritons would meet in a Level 3 game if both teams win their first two playoff games.
