Board hires Havlichek as new PAC technical director

ASHWAUBENON – A technical director at the Ashwaubenon Performing Arts Center was among the new hires approved Wednesday, Sept. 12, by the Ashwaubenon school board.

Steve Havlichek’s hiring to the position was effective Sept. 4. Based on his date of hire to the full-time, exempt position, he will be compensation $34,165.75, which is pro-rated from an annual salary of $41,000.

This new position, for which the village of Ashwaubenon pays half of the salary, has the primary function of being the technical liaison for all events at the PAC.

Other hires

Kelly Bushmaker has been hired as a .45 full-time-equivalent student wellness coordinator, which will be a limited-term position.

The position will be within the teacher group with Bushmaker being compensated at the Step 6 Lane F pay grade as a provisional educator at $24,668.21 for 2018-19.

Bushmaker has been a part-time member of the support staff as an educational associate – social work assistant.
The new, grant-funded position is being offered on a limited-term basis for 2018-19.

To fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Julie Stiles as a full-time educational associate – special education aide at Pioneer Elementary School, the board has approved the hiring of Christopher Gallegos, effective the beginning of the 2018-19 school year.

Gallegos will be compensated $16.73 an hour.

Brenda Pavek has been hired to the .29 FTE educational associate – clerk position at the Cormier School and Early Learning Center, effective the start of the 2018-19 school year.

She will be compensated $17.10 per hour. The position was vacant due to the resignation of Nancy Upstone.

Pavek, who has been an educational associate at Cormier, will now be at a .79 FTE with her new position.

Board members also accepted the resignations of Tori Destree from a half-time educational associate – 4K aide position at Cormier, effective Sept. 7, and Jacqueline Grant from a full-time cross categorical instructor position at Parkview Middle School, effective Sept. 10.

Grant’s resignation is contingent upon receipt of a resignation fee.
