ASHWAUBENON – A pair of resignations and one new hire were approved Wednesday, June 13, by the Ashwaubenon school board.

Board members accepted the resignation of Rebecca Konkol-Kintop from her full-time pupil services coordinator position, effective June 30.

The exempt staff position, which is being reclassified as an instructional position, has been posted to fill the vacancy as a school psychologist.

The board also accepted the resignation of Sara Demerath from her first-grade instructor position at Valley View Elementary School, effective at the end of the 2017-18 school year.

The position is being posted to fill the vacancy.

Jennifer Crabbe has been hired to a full-time school counselor position at Valley View, effective with the 2018-19 school year.

Crabbe – who will be placed in the pay grade of Step 5, Lane F with a professional license, for which the 2017-18 salary equals $55,435.72 – is replacing Michael Michalski, who resigned.

This month’s school board meeting was also the last for Superintendent Brian Hanes, who is retiring at the end of June.

Hanes presented his replacement, current Valley View Principal Kurt Weyers, with a tie featuring a jaguar pattern.
