What is it like to be a leader on the track and field team at Ashwaubenon High School? “I choose to lead by example. I really want to see everyone on our track team rise up to their goals. Ashwaubenon’s track program is an awesome thing to be a part of because of the coaches. They make it a really fun thing to do and encourage everyone to do their best.”

What is your most embarrassing moment ever in track and field? “Participating in high jump usually leads to a lot of embarrassing moments since you’re the center of attention. I think the most embarrassing thing that has ever happened to me would be when my head landed on the bar at practice. I’m not quite sure how it happened, but it did.”

How many years have you been involved in track and field? “I’ve been involved in track since middle school, so this will be my seventh year.”

What is your most memorable moment? “Clearing 6’3 at Sectionals seven months after my ACL surgery to advance to state. I was overwhelmed with emotions and I think that is the reason I love track so much.”

What’s the hardest part about performing in a track and field competition? “Every little mistake you make, people notice. Regardless of how good or bad you’re doing, you have to stay composed.”

If you could be somebody for a day, who would it be? “Dan Bilzerian”

What is your sports routine before a big game? “Eat a sandwich or two, run a couple sprints, and then I am usually good to go.”

Do you have a nickname or something a teammate calls you during a game? “I used to be called Shiny for my bright yellow chin strap in seventh grade football.”

What is one thing that other teammates or coaches don’t know about you? “I can quote every scene in the movie Elf.”

Winning State in the high jump/long jump or a big team win? “If Ashwaubenon were to win the State Meet, a bunch of people would have to win, so I’d hope that I would be one among those winners.”

What are your college aspirations? “Attend the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota, majoring in neuroscience.”

What would your dream job be once you graduate? “I hope to work with prosthetics, making them work like normal functioning limbs.”

What are your hobbies? “Cars, watching movies, losing games of Fortnite”

What is your favorite event ever attended? “X-Games Minneapolis or the Continental Tire Race at Road America.”

What is your favorite type of music? “That’s a tough question to answer. There’s a different type of music to listen to for every situation. I’m mainly a fan of hip-hop, alternative rock, and slow blues.”

What is your favorite thing to do on your phone? “Check Instagram”

What three words describe you? “Outgoing, personable, easy-going”
