Jaguars Roundup: Roethlisberger fires a 40, Kirst wins shot put at FRCC Track Meet

ONEIDA-Tyler Roethlisberger had five pars en route to a 40 at Brown County golf course (May 14).

Luke Schroeder playing in the number four position shot 45 including back to back pars on holes five and six.

ASHWAUBENON-The Jaguars baseball team scored 10 runs in the bottom of the sixth and went onto defeat the Sheboygan South Redwings by a final of 14-4.

The offensive production came from Alex Dill, Will Adair, Riley Siudinski, Mike Rottier, and Logan Blazek.

Evan Wood started the game for the Jaguars, and Griffin Baierl came in and pitched one and one-third inning giving up no hits or runs en route to capturing the win.

Lars Krugel took the loss for the Redwings lasting only four innings and giving up the same in runs.

ASHWAUBENON- The Jaguars took command in game one of the softball doubleheader at Pioneer Park and defeated the Sheboygan North Golden Raiders by a final of 11-0 in five short innings (May 15).

Scoreless through two, Ashwaubenon exploded for four runs in the bottom of the third and then seven in the fourth inning.

All the work was done with just eight hits for the entire game.

Peyton Wright, Zion Estano, and Chloe Brabant each had two hits apiece

Josie Hilbert and Jazzlyn James both crossed the plate in scoring runs.

Katelynn Cleveland got the win with 48 strikes on the mound and Talia Lackershire the loss for the Golden Raiders.

In Game 2, the Jaguars started quickly and finished strong winning by a final of 8-0.

Ashwaubenon cranked out 13 hits to the Golden Raiders 5.

Brabant went 3 for 4, and Caitlin Morris 2 for 3

Cleveland pitched six innings and got the win.

Sadie Schmitt got the save in the seventh.

PULASKI-The Ashwaubenon Jaguars dominated the field events at the FRCC Track and Field conference tournament (May 15).

On the girlโ€™s side, Mabel Kirst won the shot put with a throw of 37-04.25.

Karlie Komp and Julia Perock finished in second and third place in that same event generating 14 points for the team.

Senior Noah Steward showcased his immense skill set by winning both the high and long jump.

The Jaguars didnโ€™t stop there.

Anthony Boyd threw the discus over 160 feet to capture that event over Steven Hermsen of De Pere.

ASHWAUBENON-The Jaguars baseball team will carry momentum into the final week of the regular season after they captured the non-conference victory (2-1) over the Escanaba Eskymos (May 19).

The Jaguars got out of the gates quick when Spencer Nenahlo singled on a 2-2 count to score one run.

Freshman Brady Wittig followed suit in the bottom of the second by connecting on a shot that produced another run putting the Jaguars up 2-0.

In all, Wittig batted 1.000 for the day.

This game, however, was dominated on the mound by both pitchers.

Ben Wendorf went the distance (seven innings), allowing just one run on three hits.

Courage Krueger took the loss for the Eskymos. He lasted six innings, allowing eight hits and two runs. He struck out eight batters along the way.

The Jaguars will travel to Pulaski on May 22 for the last of the FRCC tilts before hosting West De Pere on May 24.
