Jaguars Roundup-Softball puts up 28 runs in two games; tennis wins at Pulaski

ASHWAUBENON-The Jaguars softball team defeated the Notre Dame Tritons by identical 14-0 scores in their doubleheader held (May 10) at Pioneer Park.

The Jaguars jumped out to a 6-0 lead after two innings and never looked back capturing the game by a final of 14-0 in six innings (May 10).

With 33 at bats, the green and gold cranked out 16 hits, had 14 RBI’s, and had four stolen bases.

Anna Wendorf had four hits, and the team averaged .485 for the game.

Katelynn Cleveland got the win throwing 34 strikes out of 43 pitches.

Sadie Schmitt came in for one inning and got the close.

ASHWAUBENON- In game two, the Jaguars cranked out 10 runs in the first inning en route to the victory in five short innings.

Ashwaubenon’s Josie Hilbert led the way with four hits, and Chloe Brabant, Caitlin Morris, and Cleveland each had three apiece.

Cleveland pitched four innings giving up no hits and no runs, and Alexa Blasczyk came in to capture the save.

The Jaguars improved to 9-3 in the Fox River Classic Conference.

Doubleheaders with Manitowoc, Pulaski, and Sheboygan North still remain to complete the 18- game schedule.

PULASKI-The Jaguars boys tennis team came out with a 6-1 victory over the Pulaski Red Raiders. (May 10)

Number one singles player (Jacob Hanson), and the tandem of (Kole Kolinski and Colin Chapman) did not give up a game the entire day.

2 Bailey Conradt (Ash) over Wes Folk (Pul) 6-2, 6-0

3 Sam Spika (Ash) over Gavin Mangold (Pul) 6-0, 6-3

4 Ben Thomas (Pul) over Sam Lokken (Ash) 6-4, 5-7, 6-2

Doubles:

1 Kolinski and Chapman (Ash) over Garrison Clark and Luke Jarock (Pul) 6-0, 6-0

2 Grant Atwood and Alex Steinfest (Ash) over Hunter Downey and Cade Budz (Pul) 6-1, 6-2’

3 Justin Heller and Aidan Christensen (Ash) over Tyler Stachura and Cole O’Brien (Pul) 6-4, 6-2

 

 

OCONTO FALLS-The Ashwaubenon Jaguars golf team finished in eighth place with a score of 423 at River Island Golf Club. (May 10)

Tyler Roethlisberger finished third and Mark Teske eighth overall with scores of 86 and 91 respectively.

For the day, Roethlisberger had two pars and two birdies.

Teske parred two of the four par 3’s on the difficult tract.
