ASHWAUBENON-Joe Stone and Mark Teske finished their careers where they belonged; at the State Tournament in Madison.

It was the third straight year that both had competed in the ‘big show’.

After being part of a Sectional Championship down in Cedarburg, Stone, Teske, and six other members of the Jaguars swimming team took the waters of the Natatorium and brought third place back home to Jaguar Nation.

Stone and Teske highlighted the State Tournament by not finishing outside the top six in any race they took part in.

Jaguars swimmer Joe Stone finished his career with a second place finish in the 100 Yard Backstroke at State

During the season, both won multiple races during the week in conference duals and on weekends where they showcased their swimming in Invitationals against great competition.

In addition, the Jaguars had two ‘super sophomores’ Spencer Klika and Joseph Steffel that contributed in every race.

Both will be counted on to lead the Jaguars the next two years.

The Jaguars placed third (4-2) in the FRCC Conference dual season and fourth at the conference meet itself.

The Jaguars defeated Pulaski 100-68, Sheboygan North 93-90, Sheboygan South 102-65, and Manitowoc 99-71.

For its success, the team placed six individuals/teams on the all-conference list.
