Jaguars Roundup (Swimming and Basketball): Jaguars swim team finishes 3rd at State

Jaguars Result (Boys Swimming)-Feb. 16

 

MADISON- Senior Joe Stone saved his best for last.

Stone took to the pool in the Boys 100 Yard Backstroke. Four lengths later he finished 2nd and took home a silver medal. He also added a 3rd place finish in the electric 50 Yard Freestyle Race.

The Jaguars collected 62 points for finishing 3rd in the Boys 400 Yard Freestyle Relay (Kole Kolinski, Spencer Klika, Mark Teske, Stone) and 4th in the Boys 200 Yard Medley Relay with Kolinski, Stone, Joe Steffel, and Matt Farley.

Teske finished his illustrious Jaguars swimming career with two 5th place finishes in both the 100 and 200 Yard Freestyle Races.

The Jaguars eclipsed their seeded times in 7 of the 10 Championship races!

Jaguars Result (Boys Basketball)-Feb. 16

 

GREEN BAY-The Ashwaubenon Jaguars snapped a seven-game skid Friday evening (Feb. 16) as they defeated the Preble Hornets by a final of 52-45.

Anthony Guarascio led the way with 11 points and 9 rebounds.

Griffin Baierl chipped in with 9 points and 6 assists.

The Jaguars shot 41 free throws compared to just 2 for the Hornets.

The game was also marred by two technical fouls.

The Jaguars will take their 4-17 mark into Senior Night next Thursday versus the Sheboygan South Redwings for the regular season finale.
