ASHWAUBENON-The Bay Port Pirates boys swim team completed an undefeated FRCC regular season (6-0) by defeating the Ashwaubenon Jaguars by a final of 112-57 (Jan. 25).

The Pirates won 8 of the 11 individual events contested; winning all three relays.

Griffin Hawley (100 Yard Breaststroke), and Aaron Donovan (200 and 500 Yard Freestyle) continued their dominance in conference duals by getting the Pirates on the board early and often.

Joe Stone won the 50 Yard Freestyle and 100 Yard Backstroke, and Mark Teske the 100 Yard Freestyle for the Jaguars.

Perhaps the most entertaining event of the evening was the 200 Yard IM.

Peter Martin-Pirates and Joe Steffel-Jaguars (two standouts for their respective teams) went toe to toe for eight laps before Martin narrowly outreached Steffel by sixteen hundredths of a second to win the race.

Both teams will be back in action Feb. 3 when they travel to Sheboygan South for the FRCC tournament.
