Lady Pirates Win Conference Swim Relays

SUAMICO – The Lady Pirates swim and dive teams both got off to hot starts at the Fox River Classic Conference Relays on August 24 at the Lineville Community Pool.
Bay Port won both competitions in front of a loud and enthusiastic crowd by a 146-130 margin over Ashwaubenon.
Bay Port, who has won three FRCC titles in a row and six of the last seven, won seven of the ten events and placed second in another three.

Highlighting the evening was a first-place total by diver Brightyn Zuelke, followed by a runner-up finish by Ella Thibert.
On the swimming side of things, Sophia Thibert, Erin Samels, Riley Melendy, Emma Lasecki, Shea Gustafson and Liz Ely were all triple winners, while Emily Zimmer, Cora Seroogy and Lacy Geurts were double winners.
Listed below are the top three placements with times/scores in each event.
1-meter diving: 1, BP (Brightyn Zuelke), 251.65. 2, BP (Ella Thibert), 211.70. 3, ML (Brynn Tackett).
200 Medley Relay: 1, ASH, 1:56.32. 2, BP (Liz Ely, Erin Samels, Cora Seroogy, Emily Zimmer), 1:56.39. 3, SN, 1:59:65.
3×200 Freestyle Relay: 1, BP (Ely, Lacy Geurts, Emma Lasecki), 6:19.82. 2, ASH, 6:46.21. 3, SN, 6:55.85.
400 Medley (4×100 IM) Relay: 1, GBU, 4:36.02. 2, ASH, 4:40.19. 3, DP, 4:42.90.
200 Freestyle Relay: 1, ASH, 1:49.40. 2, BP (Zimmer, Seroogy, Kaiti Blumreich, Geurts), 1:49.42. 3, ML, 1:50.17.
